An award-winning documentary director whose work combines strong visual storytelling with intimate, character-led filmmaking.

I came to documentaries after a decade working in feature films, bringing with me a cinematic approach to storytelling and a strong grounding in visual craft.

I’m drawn to stories that place people at their centre. Whether filming families navigating extraordinary circumstances, communities shaped by history, or individuals at pivotal moments in their lives, I look for projects that reveal the human story within wider events.

I enjoy both the precision of creating carefully lit interview environments and the challenge of filming observationally in unpredictable situations, always looking to find a sense of cinematic beauty within the real world.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to work repeatedly with many of the UK’s leading independent production companies, making films for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix and Sky. My work has been recognised for its visual quality and emotional depth, and I take pride in consistently delivering ambitious projects to a high standard.

Recent work includes the BBC Two feature documentary Children of the Blitz and Britain Under the Nazis for Channel 4.
